PSA Educator Effectiveness Courses

The Placer Union High School District has consistently been an early adopter of emerging practices in teaching and learning and part of the reason for that is that we never stop learning.

Placer School for Adults (PSA) has created programs specifically designed to accelerate and deepen learning for teachers as they progress throughout their career and adopt innovative new practices.

Designed to be taken in parallel with an active teaching practice, PSA Educator Effectiveness courses give teachers a chance to reflect on and share best practices about what they’re working to improve in their classrooms and get exposure to new frameworks.

PSA has courses designed to help teachers modernize their grading practices and implement personalized (competency-based, mastery-based, individualized …..) learning techniques. We have courses for para-educators to identify ways of better supporting learning as classrooms change and courses for online teachers to reach the promise that engagement online is different, not worse than in-person. We even have courses for non-teachers: parents and leaders at work who have the responsibility to teach, but not the background.

The craft of the teacher is changing and Educator Effectiveness courses at PSA are designed to help you stay at the forefront of what’s happening. Sign up for our mailing list here to find out when new cohorts kick off.
