Welcome to the main page for the Del Oro Clubs
This site and all other club sites were created by David Tourtillott as a senior project. These sites have been designed to be updated easily by the clubs themselves so that every club can keep their members, and possibly to-be members up-to-date.
Here is a little bit about each club:
-ALLY: Advisor: Mrs. Montgomery, Counselor - ALLY membership is intended for students that are having a difficult time in their lives and would like to make a positive change. Group meetings, community projects and activities are designed to assist in this change.
-Band Council: Advisor: Mr. Duncan- The Band Council is organized for the purpose of carrying out the business of the Golden Eagle Band. Members of the council are members of the Golden Eagle Band. The council handles all of the details and transactions necessary in the operation of the marching and concert bands.
-Birds Eye View: Advisor: Mr. Hancock- The Birds Eye View is the school newspaper.
-CSF: Advisor: Mrs. Luci - CSF stands for the California Scholarship Federation, and is exclusive to Del Oro students who have achieved academic excellence. CSF also holds an annual student conference for students from all chapters to gather together, and also holds multiple community service projects throughout the year. Admission is available on a per term basis and is based on your grades.
-Chess Club: Advisor: Mr. Reader - The Chess Club is a club all about chess, started by Dane Smith as a senior Project in 2010.
-Culinary Club: Advisor: Mr Domeny- The Culinary Club is a club all about culinary arts.
-Drama Club: Advisor: Mr. Johnson - The Drama Club is a club all about theater drama productions.
-Earth Club: Advisor: Mr. Newton - The Earth Club was open to all students who were interested in conservation efforts. Talk to Mr. Newton if you are interested. The Earth Club is the Senior project product of Kelsey Becker and
-FFA: Advisor: Mrs. Dvorak - The Future Farmers of America is a club for students interested in animals, plants, and any other aspect of agriculture. The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
-Interact Club: Advisor: Mrs. Evans - Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people. Interact gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects.
-Key Club: Advisor: Ms. Koester- Community service club which makes a difference at school and in the community while having fun.
-Outdoor Adventure Club: Advisor: Mr. Kelderman - The Outdoor Adventure Club is open to all students who enjoy hiking and the outdoors.
-Snow Sports Club: Advisor: Mr. Martinez - The Snow Sports Club is open to all students who enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
-Sportsmens Club: Advisor: Mr. Pchelkin - The Sportsmens Club is for students interested in the sport of trap shooting.
-Student Governement:Advisor: Mr. Barker - Student Government consists of the elected student body and class officers, commissioners and committee members (both of whom are appointed). This organization is responsible for directing all student activities, promoting Del Oro pride and spirit, creating a sense of unity, and overseeing student body funds and clubs.
-TGIF: Advisor: Mr. Mathias - Thank God I'm Forgiven is a non-denominational organization open to all students who wish to meet before school for Bible discussion and activities.
-WINGS: Advisor: Mr. Kelderman - With Integrity 'N Guiding Support is an organization of students who serve a big brothers/big sisters for 9th grade students
-WOMEN'S ATHLETIC CLUB: Advisor: Mrs. Tooker, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Isaac, & Ms. White.
